1. Information Collection and Device Permissions
To provide the core functionality of a home screen replacement and a utility scanner, the app requires specific device permissions. We strictly minimize data collection and process the following locally on your device:

Camera Access (CAMERA): Required to operate the barcode and QR code scanning engine. The scanning is processed locally on your device using Google ML Kit. We do not record, store, or transmit your camera feed or image data to external servers.

Installed Applications & Management: As a home screen launcher, the app must access your device's list of installed packages to populate your app drawer and desktop layout. The app utilizes REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES strictly to allow you to trigger application uninstalls directly from your customized home screen.

Phone State & Notifications (READ_PHONE_STATE, POST_NOTIFICATIONS): The launcher requires access to your phone's state to detect active call statuses and render incoming call alerts or notification badges on your app icons. This data is processed locally to maintain interface parity with standard system launchers and is never recorded or shared by us.

System Overlays (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW, SYSTEM_OVERLAY_WINDOW): Required to draw interface elements over standard backgrounds, allowing the custom launcher environment and widgets (BIND_APPWIDGET) to function seamlessly.

2. Third-Party SDKs and Advertising Data
While we do not collect personal identification data, the app integrates third-party Software Development Kits (SDKs) that automatically collect technical and usage data to maintain app stability and serve advertisements. These services require INTERNET and ACCESS_WIFI_STATE permissions to function:

Google AdMob: The app collects and shares the Google Advertising ID (AD_ID) and technical device data to serve targeted advertisements. AdMob may infer approximate location from your device's IP address to deliver relevant localized ads.

Firebase Ecosystem (Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance, Messaging): We use Firebase to monitor app health. These tools collect anonymous usage data (such as page views, button taps, and session lengths), installation referrers, and diagnostic crash logs to help us identify and fix bugs across different Android firmware versions.

3. Local Data Storage
All data generated by your direct use of the app—including custom desktop layouts, application folders, and your complete QR/Barcode scan history—is stored securely inside a local database (Room) on your device's internal storage. We do not host cloud servers or back up this data externally. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app will permanently delete this local history.

4. Data Security
We value your trust in providing us your technical information and utilize commercially acceptable means to protect it. Data transmitted to our analytics and advertising partners is encrypted in transit. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

5. Links to Other Sites
The QR scanning utility allows you to decode and open external web links. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services accessed via our scanner.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
